Happy Thanksgiving to all those that Wander

On this Thanksgiving day, families across the United States will come together and enjoy a meal together and give thanks.

The holiday was officially proclaimed a national holiday in 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln but it had been celebrated for more than two centuries before then by the individual colonies and states.

We will enjoy a quiet celebration this year, but will celebrate the day and all it means to us. Thanks for the love of friends and family, health and happiness for those around us.

How I show my love to those around my table…

Menu:

  • Butternut Squash Soup
  • Roasted Turkey with citrus stuffing
    • Scallops Potatoes
    • Sweet Potato Casserole
    • Roasted Brussel Sprouts
  • Apple Pie

Wine(s): Knudsen Pinot Noir (2019) – Oregon Dundee Hills

Probably not traditional as the pilgrims had, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Whatever you are and what ever you eat, may you enjoy the food and the company around you. Cheers to a great day celebrating family and friends.
